Shepparton Lister House Medical Centre

FEES

Fee information

We are a private practice with very experienced GPs and offer a wide range of health services and consult types. This includes nurse services and experienced staff to assist you. Lister House Medical Centre is not a bulk billing clinic and standard consultation fees for appointments will apply. While the government can send messages to all communities of ‘free healthcare for all’ and promises everyone of $8.5b injection in Medicare reform, we respectfully advise that Lister House will see none of this as a mixed billing clinic. Election promises are purely that … and we know that their promises are always broken!

Full payment after your consultation is expected and appreciated. Payment can be via EFTPOS or cash, we can process Medicare rebates at time of payment. Our billing policy is displayed within our wait area an on this website.

Pensioners and Health Care Card holders may be charged a discounted fee, while veterans wil be charged directly to DVA. It is the discretion of the attending GP to offer Bulk Bill outside of standard fees.

For any appointment types not listed below, please enquire for fees.

Please note: all procedures incur a private charge with an out-of-pocket expense regardless of concession status. Please discuss with the Doctor or Reception staff.
i.e. ECGs, lesion removals, dressings, immunisations or any non-routine appointment types such as antenatal appointments.

FEES

Shepparton Lister House Medical Centre will be increasing its fees for standard consults on1st August 2024 in line with government MBS schedules for CPI. Out-of-pocket cost for private, pension and concession card (non bulk billed) patients will remain the same. We apologies for needing to pass on these increases, please feel free to approach government on the current debt levels and inflationary issues being forced on small business. Also feel free to approach our local member regarding the “payroll tax” that the government is planning to introduce to GP clinics that will require a further increase in private out-of-pocket costs once mandated!!

VACCINATIONS

Shepparton Lister House Medical Centre stock a range of standard vaccinations that are generally available at time of consultation. While every effort is made to have these available, it can vary depending on availability from suppliers and peak demand periods. A small overhead cost is applied to each vaccine cost base to cover transport, quality control, temperature requirements and nursing admin time.

Please ask our nursing or reception for the cost expected prior to your vaccine, as prices fluctuate and reliability can often be uncertain, particularly for the government lip-service of promised Japanese Encephalitis and Shingles deliveries vaccines that are often not available.
